Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Student Advisory Commission are:
- Advise the Board of Trustees on matters of importance to student-age citizens.
- Recommending programs, initiatives, and resources for young adults.
- Reviewing those town matters referred to it by the Board of Trustees or Staff, as appropriate, and making recommendations on those matters.
- Actively engage young adults in efforts to enhance the status of the community of Lyons, including, but not limited to the physical, sports, recreational, arts, and environmental status.
Each member may be assigned a liaison role to one of the other Boards or Commissions so as to report back to this Commission of the ongoings of each Board or Commission and how it plays a role in the governance of the Town of Lyons.
