Kids Soccer
The town of Lyons works with Real Colorado in Longmont to offer soccer to local youth. Kids ages 3 - 18 can sign up for recreational teams. When registering, parents should request placement on a Lyons' team. If enough local kids sign up in a given age group and category, a local team is formed. All recreational teams require a volunteer coach, usually a parent of a kid on the team. If you have time, please consider volunteering, and note that on your registration form. Lyons' teams would consist of a local coach and (mostly) local kids and would be able to schedule practices here in Lyons. All games are played in Longmont or surrounding cities.
Ages: 3 - 18
Dates: early Sept - early Nov, practices may start earlier
Location: local Lyons fields
Fee: $110 - $200
Middle School Contact Football
Offered by the Lyons Backer Football Club, contact football for middle schoolers is back for fall 2023. Be the future of Lyons' "Friday Night Lights." This is the official feeder program for those kids wishing to learn football and play for Lyons HS someday. Players will learn the sport through practices and will play approximately 6 games this season. We emphasize safety, character development, respect, and fun. The ultimate goal is to field a team from each grade level, but teams will be combined if necessary. Parents are responsible for supplying a helmet (white preferred), mouth piece, socks, and cleats. Players are encouraged to purchase helmets early and more information is available on the registration page. Volunteers are needed to help with the program. Contact Rex Heiby (director) at rexheiby@yahoo.com or Jesse Dickes (coach) at jessedickes@gmail.com for more information.

Senior Bus Trip to "Fiddler on the Roof" at Boulder Dinner Theatre
Join us for what's sure to be a bittersweet evening at the penultimate performance of "Fiddler on the Roof" at the Boulder Dinner Theatre. Having put on many plays and musicals since 1977, the Boulder Dinner Theatre will be shutting it's doors forever at the end of it's 45th season, and is saying goodbye with a crowd favorite. Set in the early 1900's, the musical "Fiddler on the Roof" tells the story of a local milkman in a Russian Jewish village who tries to keep his Jewish traditions alive while his five daughters have other ideas when it comes to love. Dinner is served by the actors at the theatre before the start of the show and usually features food choices reflective of the musical being presented. Our special group rate includes bottomless coffee, tea, and soda, and our gratuity is already included. Appetizers, desserts, and alcoholic beverages are extra. Reserve your spot today by dropping off payment at town hall.
