LaVern Johnson Park Camping Information


There are 15 RV sites with full hookups, 2 RV sites with no hookups and 17 tent sites.
Weekends in summer traditionally fill up quickly.

The camping season runs year round. However, there are several community events that take place during the summer where camping and shelter reservations may not be available at LaVern Johnson Park.

There is access to potable water, flush toilets, and showers (additional fee) within the park. 

Camping Rules:

*A three night minimum is required for the Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day weekends.
*Maximum of 6 (six) people per site.
*Maximum of 1 (one) RV/mobile camping unit or 1 (one) tent per site.
*Quiet Hours are from 10 pm to 8 am. Please respect others.
*No campfires are permitted, and charcoal and propane cooking are allowed in designated camping sites only.
*Campers must vacate their site by 11:00 am of the expiration date listed on permit.
*Check in time is 1:00 pm.
*A Maximum of 1 tent per site and 1 RV per site.
*No tents on RV sites.
*Maximum consecutive stay during the peak season (Memorial Day through Labor Day) is 14 nights, with a minimum of 7 nights between stays. 
*No refunds for no-shows. No refunds for early departure.

Campers should check in with the Park/Camp Host to receive their Camping Permit that must be placed in a visible location inside the front windshield of their vehicle or in a location near their tent site.  
There is no parking on site for tent camping by the river (sites 9-17).  Tent campers may arrange to unload their equipment near the tent camping area, but then must park in the parking lot.
Each site includes parking for 1 vehicle.
