Updated 08/26/2021

Please note the following public health guidelines currently in effect.
The park hours are 8 am - 8 pm daily until further notice.

  • Restroom facilities are open. We ask that you maintain 6 ft while waiting in line to use facilities, wear a mask when entering and always wash your hands.
  •  All playgrounds are open.
  • Reservations for the shelters and pavilions are open. Some capacity restrictions may change if the public health guidance changes. We encourage you to look at the Shelter Information Pages for up to date capacity information.  You must reserve a shelter/pavilion online, ahead of time.
  •  New in 2021 are reservations for day use at picnic tables. If you would like to reserve a day use area/picnic table for your group, please reserve online.

The Town of Lyons has a shelter/pavilion in Bohn Park available for rentals.

Parking

The Town of Lyons charges a parking fee every day at Bohn Park.  Currently the parking fee is $5 for every 4 hours, for those who wish to park within Bohn Park.
Due to COVID, the total capacity in the park may be limited as is the amount of parking capacity. We appreciate your patience and guests may need to wait to enter the park when the park has reached capacity.

The Daily Parking Fee must be paid at the kiosks within the parking area. Please put the payment receipt on your dashboard. Full instructions are on the kiosk. The kiosks take cash bills, coins and credit/debit card payment.

Paid parking is required daily, 365 days a year.  Parking fees help to support the park amenities. Please ask parks staff if you have any questions.

Town of Lyons Resident
Parking Pass for Town Parks

One complimentary resident parking pass will be issued to one vehicle per Lyons household that requests a parking pass. Residents may purchase a second pass for another vehicle  for $35.

Non-residents may purchase a season parking pass for a flat rate of $75 per vehicle at Town Hall.

Vehicles must have the parking pass displayed at all times when parked in LaVern Park to avoid a violation fee. Golf carts are required to pay parking fees, as well; residents may use the one free parking pass on golf carts.

Resident parking passes will be mailed once proof of residency and vehicle information is provided. Residency is proven by showing a Town of Lyons utility bill. To sign up for a parking pass, visit Lyons Town Hall, or apply online.
