Notice: Lyons Parks are Closed Until Further Notice
In an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the safety of its residents, visitors, employees, and volunteers, Lyons parks facilities will be closed, beginning Saturday, July 18, 2020. Patrons will still be allowed to use the trail system and access the river, but group gatherings, picnicking, pop-ups, and congregating along river will not be permitted. Camping and shelter reservations will be honored.
Phase 1 of the Bohn Park Recovery Project includes river restoration and improved ecological habitat, additional parking, a new restroom facility, a pedestrian bridge connecting to 4th Ave., continuance of the trail system within the plan area, and other infrastructure enhancements.
The Town of Lyons charges a parking fee every day at Bohn Park. Currently the parking fee is $5 for every 4 hours, for those who wish to park within Bohn Park. Due to COVID, the total capacity in the park is limited as is the amount of parking capacity. We appreciate your patience and guests may need to wait to enter the park when the park has reached capacity.
The Daily Parking Fee must be paid at the kiosks within the parking area. Please put the payment receipt on your dashboard. Full instructions are on the kiosk. The kiosks take cash bills, coins and credit/debit card payment.
Paid parking is required daily, 365 days a year. Parking fees help to support the park amenities. Please ask parks staff if you have any questions.
Town of Lyons Resident
Parking Pass for Town Parks
One complimentary resident parking pass will be issued to one vehicle per Lyons household that requests a parking pass. Residents may purchase a second pass for another vehicle for $35.
Non-residents may purchase a season parking pass for a flat rate of $75 per vehicle at Town Hall.
Vehicles must have the parking pass displayed at all times when parked in LaVern Park to avoid a violation fee. Golf carts are required to pay parking fees, as well; residents may use the one free parking pass on golf carts.
Resident parking passes will be mailed once proof of residency and vehicle information is provided. Residency is proven by showing a Town of Lyons utility bill. To sign up for a parking pass, visit Lyons Town Hall, or apply online.
