Potential Nuisance Flooding

July 23

The post-flood stream design is engineered for the capacity of 1,400 cfs. Nuisance or localized flooding may begin at the 1,250 cfs level or during heavy rainfall, and can consist of bank overflow and puddling in low areas.

The Lyons Fire Protection District, Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, and the Town of Lyons continuously monitor and communicate throughout heavy rainfall periods.
