DR.BOP Draft Concept Plan Meeting & Site Visits

Wednesday, May 24, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
LaVern Johnson Park

Please join the planning and design team as they share the concept plan for future use of the Deed Restricted Buy-Out Properties (DR.BOP) at the St. Vrain River Confluence.

A shared vision has been developed with input from neighbors, community members, Boards and Commissions, Town staff, and other stakeholders. The phased concept plan reflects the values, insights, and desires expressed through community workshops and outreach. It is intended to serve as a blueprint for final design that captures all feedback, builds on inherent opportunities, and allows for public use and enjoyment of these sites.

This meeting will be held at LaVern Johnson Park.

Check out the plan, talk with the design team, and give us your thoughts.

On Thursday, May 25, two mobile homes will be relocated from the eastern corridor, to the mobile home court, off 3rd Avenue and Seward, beginning at 9 a.m.

Currently, the homes are located near US-36 and CO-66. From there, the transport's route will be as follows: west on CO-66 to Main Street, north on 4th Avenue, east on Seward Avenue, then south on 3rd Avenue, to back into the court. The homes will be relocated one at a time, with the second immediately following the placement of the first.

Traffic following the transport may experience momentary delays. Traffic through the 3rd and Seward Avenue/Stickney Avenue around that time period may also experience delays, while home are set. Motorists are advised to take an alternate route, as to avoid delays.

RTD Bus Service "Y" Route - One Midday Route Cut

RTD recently published their new bus timetables, and Lyons riders may find the most significant impact to be the removal of one midday service from the Lyons-Boulder “Y” route. The southbound trip at 1:02 p.m. and the northbound trip at 12:00 p.m. has been discontinued, due to low ridership. This route, along with the other midday service had been heavily subsidized by Boulder County; the Town of Lyons and the County worked hard to keep the one remaining midday service.

In order to keep this service moving forward we need more riders! Make sure you do your part, get your $25 EcoPass from the Town, and ride the bus to work, to shop or to DIA! Previously existing EcoPasses from the Town of Lyons can be reactivated with the $25 fee.

Please note all the other services remain the same! RTD published a new schedule that had one of the evening services removed, this was done in error.
