US 36/Main St. Streetscape Project

Anticipated for the week of April 11, 2016

The teams are hitting milestones this week!
On Tuesday, three of the four traffic signal poles were placed at the US 36/Stone Canyon Intersection! Click here to see pictures.

Throughout the week, crews will be cutting pipe across US 36, west of 2nd Ave. Drivers can expect major lane restrictions around this around, as the work is taking place.

Additionally, crews continue to demo curbs, gutters, asphalt, and digging trenches along E. Main St./US 36. The businesses along the road can expect work to be done on one entrance at a time - business access will be available throughout the process.

Please note that the schedule is subject to unforeseen construction issues, weather, etc. Additionally, the Town cannot predict exact details when work will be done in specific areas, e.g. in front of particular businesses, etc.
You can sign up to receive email notifications of new updates for this project.
Slow for Work Zones

Slow for Road Work

As the road work and construction projects are in full swing, the safety of the work crews remain the first priority of Town and its contractors. Please be vigilant of the crews, and drive slowly through the work zones

Remember..
Expect the Unexpected:

  • Workers, work vehicles, or equipment may enter your lane without warning
  • Other vehicles may slow, stop, or change lanes unexpectedly
Thank you for helping our crews stay safe.

Code Enforcement Corner

Business Licenses

It is unlawful for any person to operate any business or trade within the corporate limits of the Town without first obtaining a business or trade license.

If the application and license fee are not received on or before the expiration date of the licensed issued for the current year, and the licensee continues to engage in the business or activity for which the license was issued, a penalty of ten percent (10%) of the amount of the license fee ($25) will be imposed and collected, and an additional five percent (5%) of the original fee ($25) will be added on the last day of each calendar month after the expiration date.

Since December, the Town has sent two notice of renewals to unlicensed businesses; the Town will be issuing notice of charges to businesses that continue to operate out of compliance with the Municipal Code.
