Official Communication from the Town of Lyons
Drive Slow through Work Zones

Slow for Road Work

As the road work and construction projects are in full swing, the safety of the work crews remain the first priority of Town and its contractors. Please be vigilant of the crews, and drive slowly through the work zones

Remember..
Expect the Unexpected:

  • Workers, work vehicles, or equipment may enter your lane without warning
  • Other vehicles may slow, stop, or change lanes unexpectedly
Thank you for helping our crews stay safe.

Branches and Yard Waste

Since 2013, the Town has discontinued curbside chipping. The Town invites you to drop off branches and limbs to Bohn Park on the old Vasquez softball field, adjacent to the tennis courts. Any material other than yard waste will not be accepted.

Please remember that it is illegal to place branches and unwanted limbs/yard waste on Town & CDOT right-of-way property, which includes alleyways, as well as any property in the buyout program.

Lyons Municipal Code Sec. 11-2-30

The Town will issue warnings to violations of right-of-ways obstructions, as stated in the Lyons Municipal Code; a summons will be issued if not mitigated after 30 days.

Solar Discounts and Rebates Accessible to Businesses

Boulder County and its municipalities are launching a bulk purchase solar deal for commercial property owners and businesses in owner-occupied buildings. By reducing the price of rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV), adding financial incentives and pairing businesses with their own energy advisor, the program makes it easier and more affordable than ever for businesses and property owners to invest in clean solar energy.

This is a limited-time offer available to businesses and property owners in all Boulder County communities. If interested, businesses should fill out and submit the nonbinding Intent Form by April 30. A PACE advisor and Namaste Solar representative will contact businesses for information needed to perform a PV system modeling and provide pricing estimates.
