“Loop Your Own Hoop” hula hoop making class

Join Lisa Ramsey of the Town of Lyons Recreation department, for this fun class. You will make and decorate your very own, personally sized, hula hoop.    All materials provided. Ages 7+, or younger with adult supervision. Two classes offered: July 10 or July 17, at 9:30am at LaVern Johnson park. Cost is $12.  After class, stay in the park to join in the fun of our new "Hoops and Loops" club!

“Find Your Flow”  Women’s Mtn Biking for Fall

Very popular class taught by Ann Trombley returns for the fall.  This class is for Intermediate to Advanced riders. Lyons is mountain bike heaven! Join Lyons Parks and Recreation to learn new skills on the bike to shred on the trail. Ann Trombley (coach, olympian, expert) will be hosting this class consisting of consecutive Wednesday evening rides to progress your skills. This clinic is for intermediate and advanced riders.  Please bring your bike fully tuned and ready to ride, proper mountain biking shoes, helmet, and water. Class runs from 5:45-7:15 every Wednesday, Sept. 11 to Oct. 2.  Cost is $120.00

Tennis Lessons for Kids



Lyons Recreation is pleased to offer two sessions of Tennis Lessons for kids ages 7-12 years old at the Bohn Park Tennis Courts. Classes will be taught by Jim Kramer, experienced tennis player and instructor!  Please bring own tennis racquet, water bottle. Wear sunscreen and a hat. Each session is $48 for all 4 classes.
 
Session I: Tuesday's 6:30 PM-7:30 PM June 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th


Session II: Tuesday's 6:30 PM-7:30 PM July 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th

Kids Mountain Biking Clinic Spring/Summer

Lyons Recreation is pleased to offer kids Mountain biking sessions this  Summer led by Boulder Junior Cycling Head Coach Lester Pardoe. This class is for beginner to intermediate riders wishing to improve their mountain biking skills. All classes start at the Lyons dirt jump park in Bohn Park and will move on to the local trails as Lester feels they are ready. If there is construction at Bohn Park, an alternate site will be given.

Age: 8-14 year olds
Fridays 10:00 am - 11:30 am


Circuit Training

Circuit training in Bohn Park: Come join this fun class in a beautiful park setting. Gain overall strength while working different muscle groups. The class consists of 45 minutes of circuit training followed by 10 minutes of stretching.
This class is taught by Lisa Ramsey, Town of Lyons Recreation Coordinator and an ACE certified personal trainer. Please bring a water bottle and a yoga mat. 

Mondays: 8 am Starting July 1
Age: 15+
Cost: $12 per class drop in fee or $40 for 4 classes

Women's Spring/Summer Mountain Biking Clinics "Find Your Flow"

Ann Trombley is back this summer to teach beginner/intermediate mountain biking clinics in Lyons1 Mountain bike coach, Physical Therapist, and former Olympian, Ann will teach you all the skills you need to enjoy our amazing mountain bike trails in Lyons and beyond.  Classes will take place at the Lyons Bike Park in Bohn Park and on local trails. 

Session II: Wednesdays AUGUST  7th, 14th, 21st and 28th(Make up date August 29th if needed)
Age: 16+
Cost: $160

UpDown Circus Youth Camps in Lyons

Up Down Circus is Boulder Circus Center’s Youth Program. It’s mission is to inspire individual and community growth through the challenging and safe exploration of circus arts and performance. Lyons Recreation is so happy UpDown Circus will be providing youth camps IN LYONS at LaVern Johnson Park (near the spash pad and St. Vrain Shelter) this summer! UpDown Circus will offer two sessions in Lyons for kids ages 7-14, one in June and one in July to teach lots of fun circus acts such as tumbling, handstands, acrobatics, unicycle, juggling, flexibility and much more!!! Registration will be through Updown Circus on their website at www.updowncircus.com.

Session I June 24th, 26th, 28th 10:00 AM-12:00 PM  $90 for full session

Session II July 8th-12th 10:00 AM012:00 PM $150 for full session

Volunteering with the Rocky Mountain Botanical Garden in Lyons

The Rocky Mountain botanical garden committee would like to have young helpers create our new garden! If you and/ or your child would like to be a part of this over the summer, please email Lisa Ramsey at lramsey@townoflyons.com to RSVP for how many people are coming.  

Starts June 1st
Who: Adults and Children ages 10+
When: Tuesdays 9:00 AM-11:00 AM and Sundays 9:00 AM-11:00 AM
What to bring: Hat, work gloves, water bottle, sturdy clothes and shoes (no flip flops), wear sunscreen and bring some snacks

**Sessions will be cancelled in the event of rain or inclement weather.

Challenger Soccer Camps

Challenger Soccer Camps provide players of all ages and abilities with the rare opportunity to receive high-level soccer coaching from a team of international experts. Each day includes individual foot skills, technical drills, tactical practices, small-sided games, coached scrimmages, and a daily tournament. Equally important, the Challenger coaching staff provides your child with lessons in respect, responsibility, integrity, sportsmanship and leadership. Camp programs include a free ball and shirt and a free British Soccer jersey for online registrations 45 days prior to camp.
